Transparent fee guidance for succession planning consultations — fixed fees, retainers, and project pricing for established local businesses.
Succession planning fees depend on business complexity, family involvement, and how far along you already are. Below is our current rate guidance. All figures are in Australian dollars and exclude GST.
Succession Readiness Assessment
Two-session assessment with written report
From $4,800
Fixed fee for businesses with up to 80 employees and a single operating site. Multi-site or franchise arrangements quoted separately after an initial scoping call.
Family Business Transition Advisory
Monthly retainer
From $2,200 / month
Minimum six-month engagement. Includes one facilitated session per month, document review, and up to two hours of ad-hoc phone support. On-site family meetings billed at $350 per half-day plus travel.
Exit Planning Consultation
Half-day workshop
From $2,400
Conducted at our Darwin office or your premises within 50 km. Includes pre-work questionnaire, workshop facilitation, and a summary memo. Additional attendees beyond four people: $180 each.
Leadership Handover Planning
Project fee
From $3,600
Covers communication plan drafting, staff briefing scripts, customer letter templates, and two on-site rehearsal sessions. Interstate travel charged at cost.

- Number of operating sites and legal entities
- Family members actively involved in management
- Whether a formal valuation is already underway
- Urgency — engagements needed within 30 days may incur a scheduling premium

Payment terms
Assessment and workshop fees are invoiced 50% on engagement confirmation and 50% on delivery of the final report or workshop summary. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance. We accept bank transfer and major credit cards.
